John Aldam Atkinson was born at Port Pirie on 31 March 1884. He was the eldest son of Robert Fish Atkinson (1857-1922) and Susan Whitelaw (1862-1918). He was a baker. He lived in Port Pirie (1884-1896), Willunga (1896-1911, 1938-1942) and Milang (1912-1916).
John (aged 27 years) married Elizabeth Ellen Jackson (1881-24/07/1942) (aged 28 years)) on 20 Sept 1911 at St. Stephen’s Church in Willunga. She was only daughter of George and Elizabeth Jackson and she was born at Hackney in Middlesex, England. She is buried in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Willunga.

John Aldam Atkinson died aged 82 years on 6 Aug 1966 at McLaren Vale.
