Thomas Williams, aged 23 years, married Hannah Bastian (23/031831-23/10/1861) aged 22 years on 10 Nov 1853 at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Willunga.

Thomas and Hannah Williams had four children (two sons and two daughters): Ann(ie) (1854-1939 m. Robert James Nichol (1850-1924) on 12 Sept 1878 and they lived at McLaren Vale; John (1856-1946) farmer at Willunga. m. Nora McDonald (?-1925); ch: Elizabeth (1887- ), Thomas (1888 - ), Frank (1894 - ) died at Oakbank aged 89 years; Jane (1858-1938) unmarried, buried in the Uniting Church at Willunga; Mary (1860-1861) of Yankalilla died aged 7 months, buried in the Uniting Church in Willunga

Thomas Williams appears never to have remarried after the early death of his wife Hannah, aged 29 years, in 1861 at Dairy Flat. At that time he was just 31 years old and had three living children (Ann – 7, John – 5 and Jane - 3).

Thomas died on 16 June 1896 aged 71 years at Willunga. Thomas Williams is buried with his wife Hannah in the Willunga Uniting Church (Wesleyan Methodist) cemetery. They are commemorated with a slate tombstone on a chest tomb (alongside Hannah’s sister Ann) that was carved by George Sara.
